You just have to mix it with boiling water in a bowl, soak the silver you want to clean for 12 hours and, after time has passed, polish and dry the jewelry with a dry cloth.

Trick 2: Clean the silver with lemon and salt

On this occasion, we combine the citrus properties with those of salt to achieve even better results. Ready to exfoliate your silver jewelry? You only need half a lemon cut in half and salt.

What you have to do is spread half of the lemon that contains juice with salt. Afterwards, rub your jewelry vigorously until all the dirt has come off and they are shiny again. Then you just have to rinse, dry and voila!

Trick 3: Clean the silver with aluminum foil and salt

Another trick with which to give a new life to your jewelry is using boiling water, salt and foil. It is really similar to the first but without having to let it act for so long thanks to the power of aluminum.

Boil water in a saucepan and once it is boiling turn off the heat. Now, add a handful of salt, dip your jewels (for 10 minutes) and being careful not to burn yourself cover it with aluminum foil.

Once the time has passed, you just have to rub with a cloth to remove the dirt and let everything dry.

Just like cleaning the tile joints in your bathroom or the rubber sole of your favorite cloth slippers, toothpaste can also be used to clean your silver jewelry. Of course, as long as it is not for teeth whitening, since its components could damage the material and even scratch it.

To remove dirt with toothpaste, you have to rub it gently either with a soft toothbrush or with a microfiber cloth moistened in warm water. Repeat the process a couple of times while rinsing the cloth and your jewelry and, like new!
